GXO Logistics has appointed Balaji Rangaswamy as its Chief Information Officer, a newly created role within the company's technology organization.
Rangaswamy will lead the Foundation division, which focuses on enterprise systems, architecture, core technology capabilities, information strategy, data governance, cybersecurity, and digital resilience. He will report directly to CEO Patrick Kelleher.
The appointment follows GXO's restructuring of its technology organization into two distinct areas: Foundation and Acceleration. Nizar Trigui, GXO's Chief Technology Officer, oversees the Acceleration mandate, which includes artificial intelligence applications, robotics, and emerging technologies.
Rangaswamy joins GXO from Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, where he served as Vice President of Digital Technology for a $30 billion business spanning five strategic units. He brings 30 years of enterprise technology experience, including roles as CIO at Ricoh Americas Corporation and KLX Aerospace Solutions, and Vice President of Information Technology & Data Analytics at The Boeing Company.
GXO Logistics, a contract logistics provider, employs over 150,000 people across more than 1,000 facilities, with total facility space exceeding 200 million square feet.
