The disposal was executed to cover tax withholding obligations tied to the vesting of previously granted restricted stock units, the company said. After the transaction, Kerr retains direct ownership of 54,342 ordinary shares of Grocery Outlet, which operates under the NASDAQ ticker GO.
The stock has gained 19% year-to-date, reaching $12.04 on Friday. Grocery Outlet’s market capitalization stands at approximately $1.15 billion. The company reported a net loss of $3.87 per share over the trailing twelve months, though second-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.20 per share exceeded Wall Street expectations of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter totaled $1.19 billion, surpassing forecasts by $20 million.
Grocery Outlet also raised its full-year guidance for sales, earnings, and comparable sales growth. Analysts at TD Cowen, UBS, D.A. Davidson, and Telsey have since revised their price targets for the stock, with TD Cowen and D.A. Davidson lifting their targets to $12.00, UBS to $11.50, and Telsey adjusting its target to $12.00.
