Gray Media, Inc. (NYSE: GTN) announced the promotion of Ronna Steber to chief revenue officer. Steber, who previously served as senior operating officer and senior managing vice president, will now direct advertising sales strategy for the company’s television stations and digital platforms.
In her expanded role, Steber will supervise ad sales practices, drive new‑business development, and manage sales training for local teams while retaining oversight of select stations and digital properties. The appointment follows Gray Media’s reach of roughly 37% of U.S. television households, operating in 117 full‑power markets, including 46 markets where it owns Telemundo affiliates.
Gray’s chief operating officer, Sandy Breland, praised Steber’s track record, stating, "Ronna has a proven record of success and a deep understanding of our local markets. Her strategic vision and strong leadership make her the perfect choice to guide our sales teams and turn our greatest opportunities into meaningful revenue growth."
Gray Media, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, also owns brands such as Gray Digital Media, Raycom Sports, Tupelo Media Group and PowerNation Studios. The promotion underscores the company’s focus on monetizing its extensive broadcast and digital inventory as it competes for advertising dollars in a fragmented media landscape.
The move comes as the broader broadcasting sector seeks to leverage cross‑platform synergies to offset pressure on traditional TV ad rates. By placing Steber at the helm of revenue generation, Gray Media aims to strengthen its sales execution and capture additional market share across its extensive network of stations and digital assets.
