Intuitive Machines has completed the handover of the SXM-11 communications satellite to SiriusXM after successful in-orbit testing, the company said.
Built on Intuitive Machines' IM 1300 series platform, the geostationary satellite launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on June 28, 2026, and became fully operational shortly thereafter.
Chris Johnson, president of Intuitive Machines Space Systems, called SXM-11 "another milestone in our longstanding partnership with SiriusXM," noting that the two firms have now built 13 spacecraft together over more than two decades. SiriusXM chief product and technology officer Sean Gibbons said the companies have worked together for more than 20 years to design and deliver multiple generations of satellites.
The SXM-11 follows earlier partners SXM-9 and SXM-10 in the broadcaster's satellite constellation, and Intuitive Machines said work is already underway on the next satellite in the series.
