Shares of Gerresheimer, the German medical packaging and drug delivery specialist, tumbled more than 6% in early Tuesday trading after interim Chief Executive Uwe Röhrhoff stepped down at his own request, effective immediately.
The resignation comes nearly three months ahead of Röhrhoff’s scheduled departure in October, following his appointment in November 2025 at the request of the company’s Supervisory Board. During his tenure, Röhrhoff worked alongside newly appointed Management Board members Wolf Lehmann—who serves as Chief Financial Officer—and Achim Schalk to stabilize operations and address key challenges, according to the company.
With Röhrhoff’s exit, Lehmann will assume interim responsibility for the CEO role until further notice. The move follows Gerresheimer’s July 2026 agreement to sell its U.S. subsidiary Centor and its global Primary Packaging Plastics business, a transaction aimed at simplifying the company’s capital and financing structure while reducing its leverage.
