Flywire Corporation said it has appointed Sabrina Farmer to its board of directors and its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Farmer currently serves as Corporate Vice President of the Commerce Platform at Microsoft, where she oversees commerce, billing, and payment platforms for Azure, Office 365, Copilot, and consumer channels. She previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer at GitLab, leading software engineering, operations, and customer support teams, and spent 19 years at Google, most recently as Vice President of Engineering for Core Infrastructure.
Mike Massaro, chief executive officer of Flywire, said in a statement: "Sabrina's track record of architecting and operating systems at unprecedented scale, including managing billions of interactions across the world's largest digital platforms, makes her an invaluable addition to our Board."
Flywire, which trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker FLYW, operates a global payments network serving the education, healthcare, travel, and business-to-business sectors. The company says it supports more than 5,300 clients and offers payment methods in over 140 currencies across 240 countries and territories. It is headquartered in Boston.
Farmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans, her alma mater, where she has established two scholarships.
