Eversource Energy's executive vice president of customer experience and energy strategy, Penelope M. Conner, sold 3,000 common shares in two separate transactions last week, totaling $213,900.
On August 24, Conner disposed of 1,500 shares at $71.10 each, followed by an additional 1,500 shares at $71.50 on August 25. The transactions occurred as the company's stock traded at $71.69, according to market data cited by the report. Eversource's market capitalization stood at $26.97 billion, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 18.53 and a dividend yield of 4.43%.
Conner retains direct ownership of 7,556 common shares, including restricted stock units and dividend equivalents, alongside 1,226 shares held indirectly through the company's 401(k) plan. An additional 17,511 phantom shares are held under a deferred compensation arrangement.
The sales follow Eversource's second-quarter 2026 results, which missed Wall Street estimates. The utility reported earnings per share of $0.87 against a projected $0.94, with revenue of $2.9 billion compared to a forecast of $3.07 billion. The company attributed the shortfall to non-monetary charges tied to the sale of water assets and an offshore wind project.
Eversource completed the $1.7 billion sale of Aquarion Water to streamline operations toward regulated electric and gas utility services. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 non-GAAP EPS guidance of $4.57 to $4.72, projecting long-term growth of 5% to 7%.
Credit ratings firm Moody's upgraded Eversource's outlook from negative to stable, citing improved execution and balance sheet progress. Mizuho raised its price target for the stock from $70 to $74 while maintaining a Neutral rating.
