Einride’s stock climbed 18% in pre-market trading on Monday after the company announced a landmark partnership with Tesla to deploy 500 Tesla Semi electric trucks across key North American freight corridors.
The fleet, managed via Einride’s Saga AI platform, will serve Amazon and other customers in California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia. The deployment represents the largest global rollout of Tesla’s electric trucks to date and will triple Einride’s current electric truck fleet over a 24-month period, with the first phase beginning in September 2026.
Financing for the initiative is arranged through third-party agreements. The partnership is expected to convert approximately $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue from joint shipper agreements into active freight capacity, according to company disclosures.
Einride CEO Roozbeh Charli said the deal underscores the company’s ability to meet large-scale customer demand. The announcement coincided with the release of Einride’s first-half 2026 financial results before market open.
The broader market showed weakness, with the Nasdaq down 1.15% and the S&P 500 down 0.4%, indicating the stock’s gain was driven entirely by company-specific developments. Einride’s shares remain well below their 52-week high of $34.
