Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share index rose 0.03% at the close of trade on Tuesday, lifted by gains in the cement, hotels and tourism, and petrochemicals sectors.
Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners by 132 to 188, with 20 issues unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange. The modest advance followed a session where broader regional equity markets showed mixed performance.
Among top gainers, Methanol Chemicals Company led with a 9.96% rise to 30.24 riyals, while Al Etihad Cooperative Insurance added 7.45% to close at 8.22 riyals. AFG International climbed 7.41% to 15.36 riyals. On the downside, Raydan Company fell 4.55% to 16.80 riyals, Jarir Marketing declined 4.27% to 16.59 riyals, and Al Moammar Information Systems dropped 3.90% to 291.00 riyals.
Oil prices advanced alongside equities, with October WTI crude up 0.76% to $84.38 a barrel and October Brent rising 0.35% to $91.19. December gold futures, however, slipped 0.56% to $4,448.70 per troy ounce.
Foreign exchange movements were minimal, with the euro and dollar broadly steady against the Saudi riyal. The EUR/SAR held at 4.35, while USD/SAR remained at 3.75. The U.S. Dollar Index futures were little changed at 99.55.
