Ecopetrol S.A. announced that board member Hildebrando Vélez Galeano has resigned, with the departure effective as of the date of the press release. The company disclosed the resignation in a statement issued on September 15, 2026, noting that the notice was received on the preceding Sunday.
Ecopetrol, described as Colombia’s largest company, operates across hydrocarbon production, transportation, refining, petrochemicals and gas distribution, with activities in the United States, Brazil and Mexico.
