Star Bulk Carriers Corp announced the completion of a €107.8 million ($124.4 million) share offering on the Main Market of Euronext Athens. The placement, priced at €24.50 ($28.27) per share, was allocated on Friday, September 15, 2026.
The offering comprised 4.4 million new common shares, of which 4.3 million were sold to the public in Greece and 100,000 were placed in a parallel offering to a limited group of investors. Total demand reached approximately €656.3 million ($757.3 million), equivalent to 26.8 million shares, meaning the issue was oversubscribed by more than six times.
Retail investors took up 1.7 million shares, representing 41% of the public portion, while qualifying investors subscribed to the remaining 2.6 million shares (59%). Two legal entities linked to CEO Mr. Pappas applied for 248,000 shares and were allocated 148,800 shares, or 60% of their request. Optima Bank S.A. submitted an application for 400,000 shares and received an allocation of 52,000 shares.
AXIA Ventures Group Ltd acted as lead advisor, joint coordinator and bookrunner, with National Bank of Greece S.A. serving as co‑advisor, joint coordinator and bookrunner. Neither the lead underwriters nor the other coordinators placed orders for their own accounts.
The new shares are intended for a parallel listing on Euronext Athens and were offered exclusively to non‑U.S. persons, falling outside U.S. federal securities registration requirements. The transaction adds capital to Star Bulk’s balance sheet while demonstrating strong investor appetite for the carrier’s equity in the Greek market.
