Dream Finders Homes Inc. director Len Sturm purchased 500 shares of Class A common stock for a total of $7,390, according to regulatory filings.
The transactions were executed in two tranches: 250 shares at $14.81 per share on Aug. 21, 2025, and another 250 shares at $14.75 per share on Aug. 24, 2025. The stock last traded at $14.76, reflecting a 50% decline from the same period last year and 53% below its 52-week high of $31.50. Sturm’s direct holdings in the company now total 28,228 shares.
The purchases come as Dream Finders Homes advances a merger agreement to acquire Beazer Homes USA Inc. for $33.50 per share, valuing the transaction at approximately $2.2 billion. The deal will be financed in part by an existing $1.5 billion unsecured revolving credit facility, with an accordion provision allowing for an increase to $2.0 billion subject to lender commitments and customary conditions.
Beazer Homes reported a net loss of $4.2 million in the third quarter, wider than the $0.3 million loss in the prior-year period, despite revenue of $516.31 million that exceeded consensus estimates of $510.56 million. Homebuilding revenue fell 8.3% year-over-year to $490.9 million, while home closings declined 13.4%. The average selling price rose 5.9% to $547,800.
