The shares were sold at weighted average prices ranging from $150.12 to $152.34 per share. On August 20, Brown disposed of 6,120 shares at an average price of $150.65, 4,102 shares at $151.66, and 2,826 shares at $152.34. On August 21, an additional 656 shares were sold at an average price of $150.12. Following the transactions, Brown retains beneficial ownership of 178,659 shares in the company.
Chord Energy’s stock has gained roughly 42% over the past six months, trading near its 52-week high of $153. The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $6.44 in the second quarter of 2026, below analyst expectations of $6.75, on revenue of $1.49 billion against a projected $1.61 billion. Despite the underperformance, Chord Energy highlighted strong free cash flow, a solid balance sheet, and an expanded commitment to shareholder returns.
