Donaldson Company shares rose 0.9% on Aug. 21 as investors reacted to the filtration specialist’s latest earnings and an analyst upgrade.
The stock closed at $93.25, up $0.81 from the prior session, after pre-market trading showed a 0.5% advance. The company’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results were released before the regular trading session, with an earnings call held at 9:00 a.m. CT.
Wall Street had expected earnings of $1.13 per share on revenue of about $1.04 billion. That compares with $1.06 per share on $995.1 million in revenue in the prior quarter. Year-over-year EPS growth was projected at roughly 9.7%.
Analysts at Baird upgraded Donaldson on Aug. 19, lifting the price target to $105 from $95 while maintaining an Outperform rating. The firm cited the recent pullback as a buying opportunity and pointed to improving cyclical indicators for 2026 and 2027.
Donaldson operates through three segments: Mobile Solutions, Industrial Solutions, and Life Sciences. Its aftermarket filtration business has been a stabilizing force, while the recent acquisition of Filtration Group’s Facet Filtration unit expanded its exposure to aerospace and defense.
The company has a track record of meeting or exceeding analyst expectations, including a beat in the third quarter of fiscal 2026.
