D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NASDAQ: QBTS) named Greg Golkov as interim chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance, following the retirement of John Markovich.
Markovich will depart on Sept. 2, after five years as CFO. During his tenure, D-Wave raised more than $900 million in capital, the company said. His exit was not due to any disagreement with D-Wave regarding operations, accounting policies, financial statements or internal controls.
Golkov, who joined D-Wave as SVP of Finance in May 2023, will assume the CFO role on an interim basis. His responsibilities at D-Wave have included accounting, SEC reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury and tax functions. Prior to D-Wave, Golkov held finance leadership roles at Butterfly Network Inc. from October 2020 to March 2023 and at Kaseya from August 2018 to October 2020.
At Butterfly Network, Golkov supported the company's transition to public reporting, while at Kaseya he led financial transformation initiatives and mergers-and-acquisitions integrations. He brings more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience in publicly traded technology companies and private equity-backed firms.
D-Wave, which went public in 2022, develops quantum computing systems, software and services delivered via customer premises or cloud platforms.
