CuriosityStream Inc. named Sean Piche as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2026, following the departure of Brady Hayden.
Piche brings three decades of finance and accounting experience across media, entertainment, technology and telecommunications sectors, including prior roles as Global Co-Leader of Media and Entertainment at CFGI and a decade as Partner in Ernst & Young’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice. Earlier in his career, he held senior finance positions at NBCUniversal and Viacom. A Certified Public Accountant, Piche holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Binghamton University.
The appointment comes as CuriosityStream reports second-quarter revenue of $23.2 million, a 22% increase year-over-year, alongside net income of $8.9 million and adjusted EBITDA of $11.4 million, a 276% year-over-year rise. Annualized revenue exceeds $80 million, with annualized adjusted EBITDA surpassing $20 million.
CuriosityStream President and CEO Clint Stinchcomb said Piche’s experience aligns with the company’s current growth trajectory and strategic direction. Piche will report directly to Stinchcomb and oversee the global finance organization while contributing to capital allocation and partnership strategies.
