Coty Inc. is set to release its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings after U.S. markets close on Wednesday, with analysts projecting a modest loss and a 4.8% year-over-year decline in revenue.
The company is expected to report a loss of less than a penny per share for the quarter ended June 30, according to consensus estimates. Revenue is forecast at $1.19 billion, down from $1.28 billion in the prior quarter and representing a 4.8% decrease from the same period last year. The outlook reflects a sequential improvement from the fiscal third quarter, when Coty reported a loss of $0.03 per share and a 7% year-over-year revenue decline on a like-for-like basis.
Analysts have maintained flat earnings-per-share estimates over the past 60 days, with seventeen covering the stock assigning an average "hold" rating. The mean price target stands at $3.13, implying roughly 14% upside from Tuesday’s closing price of $2.74. Coty’s 52-week trading range is $1.82 to $4.94.
RBC Capital reiterated an "outperform" rating on Tuesday, assigning a price target of $8 and describing the quarter as "a neutral event." The firm’s analyst, Nik Modi, noted the report’s limited impact on the company’s forward strategy.
Coty’s leadership continues to emphasize its "Coty.Curated" framework, focusing on prestige brands with long-term growth potential. CEO Markus Strobel is expected to provide further details on the company’s fiscal 2027 guidance during the earnings call. In July, Coty announced plans to return its Gucci Beauty license to Kering for approximately $400 million and initiated a strategic review of its mass color cosmetics business.
The company’s forward price-to-earnings ratio is 12.22, with gross margins at 63.2%. Analysts project nearly 150% growth in earnings per share, reflecting expectations for a rebound in profitability.
The broader U.S. beauty market has shown resilience, with fragrance sales in the mass channel rising 15% in the first half of 2026, making it the fastest-growing segment in the category.
