Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Hamilton Lane announced a strategic collaboration to deliver investment solutions blending public and private markets to the wealth channel.
Columbia Threadneedle filed a preliminary registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the Columbia Hamilton Lane Growth Innovation Fund, a public-private growth equity interval fund. The fund will be managed by Columbia Threadneedle and is expected to be offered through financial advisors to the wealth channel. Its launch remains subject to SEC registration and fund board approval.
Under the partnership, Columbia Threadneedle will contribute its public markets expertise and multi-asset investment capabilities, while Hamilton Lane will provide its private markets platform and investment sourcing capabilities.
Columbia Threadneedle Investments, the global asset management group of Ameriprise Financial, manages approximately $759 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026. It employs more than 2,200 people, including over 550 investment professionals, and operates out of Boston and Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, with reach across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Hamilton Lane reports $1.1 trillion in assets under management and supervision as of the same date, broken down into roughly $146 billion in discretionary assets and $914 billion in non-discretionary assets. The firm employs approximately 800 professionals.
