CME Group announced that it will list futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and the decentralized exchange token Uniswap (UNI) on its CME Globex platform, with trading slated to begin on Oct. 19 pending regulatory approval. The contracts will be subject to CME’s standard rules for futures products.
The exchange will offer two contract sizes for each asset. Standard Bitcoin Cash futures will represent 250 BCH, while a micro version will cover 25 BCH. For Uniswap, standard contracts will correspond to 10,000 UNI and micro contracts to 1,000 UNI. Both standard and micro contracts are intended to give market participants flexibility in exposure and capital allocation.
CME already provides futures for a range of digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui. Giovanni Vicioso, CME’s global head of cryptocurrency products, said the new contracts are “designed for greater versatility and capital efficiency” and will let clients manage price risk within a regulated marketplace.
In the first half of 2026, CME reported that its cryptocurrency futures and options averaged 279,800 contracts daily, representing about $8.3 billion in notional value. Average open interest during the same period stood at 264,600 contracts, or roughly $15.4 billion. The 2026 expansion that added futures for Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui has generated more than $1 billion in total notional value year‑to‑date.
