Chemtrade Logistics Income Fund said on Tuesday its second-quarter 2026 earnings per share topped analyst estimates, while the company maintained its full-year outlook amid steady demand conditions.
The Canadian specialty chemicals and water solutions provider reported adjusted earnings of C$0.72 per share for the quarter, compared with the C$0.68 per share average estimate from six analysts surveyed by Refinitiv. Revenue for the period totaled C$412 million, slightly above the C$405 million consensus forecast.
Management noted that operational performance remained resilient, supported by stable demand across its core industrial and municipal water treatment segments. The company’s sulfuric acid and sodium chlorate businesses continued to benefit from consistent industrial activity, though pricing pressures persisted in certain markets.
Chemtrade reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting adjusted EBITDA of C$380 million to C$400 million and adjusted EPS of C$2.60 to C$2.80. The unchanged outlook suggests limited near-term volatility in end-market demand, despite broader macroeconomic uncertainties.
Chief Executive Officer Mark Davis stated that the company’s diversified portfolio and contractual pricing mechanisms helped mitigate exposure to short-term market fluctuations. "Our focus remains on executing our strategy to deliver sustainable value, while maintaining financial discipline," Davis said in a statement.
Shares of Chemtrade were little changed in after-hours trading following the release, indicating investor expectations aligned with the steady outlook provided.
The company’s next earnings update is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
