Cembra announced on Thursday that it will transfer its main office from Zurich Altstetten to the Konnex-Gebäudekomplex in the former industrial area of Baden Nord. The relocation is planned for autumn 2027 and will provide modern infrastructure, up-to-date building technology and energy-efficient operations. The bank cited the site’s central location and excellent public transport links as offering attractive conditions for employees and business partners.
The move comes shortly after another financial services provider, Vontobel, decided to exit Zurich. Vontobel intends to shift its seat to the canton of Zug. Both relocations reflect a broader trend of financial firms seeking alternative locations outside Zurich’s city centre.
