Castle Biosciences’ stock, which closed at $33.42 on the day of the transaction, has gained 44% over the past year despite the company not reporting profitability in the last 12 months. BTG maintained a Buy rating on the shares and raised its price target from $40 to $44.
The insider’s sale follows strong second-quarter results. Revenue reached $103.5 million, exceeding analyst expectations of $86.4 million and surpassing the company’s prior guidance. Adjusted loss per share was $0.07, better than the estimated $0.40 loss. Revenue growth of 20% was driven by the TissueCypher franchise, which saw a 63% increase in volume compared with the same period a year earlier.
The company also raised its full-year sales guidance in conjunction with the results.
