Brenx Ltd. surged 16% to $6.45 in pre-market trading on Thursday as investors reacted to a series of operational and strategic developments tied to its clean energy business.
The micro-cap company, which began trading under its new ticker BRNX on Nasdaq this week after rebranding from Brenmiller Energy Ltd., cited the commissioning of a 32 MWh bGen™ thermal storage system for Tempo Beverages as a key catalyst. The system represents a step toward Brenx’s recurring revenue model under its "Build-Own-Operate-Optimize" framework.
Additional drivers included the acquisition of an operating solar facility in Hungary and a signed term sheet for adjacent land intended for renewable energy generation and potential data center infrastructure. The company also secured a debt waiver from the European Investment Bank, which is expected to strengthen its balance sheet.
Brenx’s stock has exhibited significant volatility in recent months, trading between a 52-week low of $2.062 and a high of $512.40. The surge follows the publication of a mid-August investor presentation outlining its long-term strategy, though the company remains classified as a micro-cap clean energy play. The broader market offered little directional influence, with the S&P 500 flat and the Nasdaq modestly lower in pre-market trading.
