Borealis Foods Inc. (NASDAQ: BRLS) reported a 110% year-over-year increase in revenue within its K-12 foodservice channel, driven by expansion to more than 20,000 schools across approximately 2,500 school districts. The growth follows a 12-month period in which products were distributed through 106 distributors spanning 40 states.
The company’s K-12 offerings, developed and manufactured by subsidiary Palmetto Gourmet Foods at a facility in Saluda, South Carolina, are designed to meet nutritional standards for school programs. Products are marketed for use in soups, stir-fries, salads, bowls and other recipes, supporting operational efficiency and menu variety for school nutrition programs.
Reza Soltanzadeh, founder and chief executive officer, said the expansion reflects the company’s ability to scale food solutions through its U.S. manufacturing platform. The growth trajectory, he added, supports increased production volume and higher manufacturing utilization.
Amanda Bot, vice president of the K-12 division, noted that school nutrition administrators prioritize products that are practical, versatile and dependable. The company’s expansion aligns with demand for reliable, scalable foodservice solutions in the U.S. education sector.
More than 95,000 U.S. schools and institutions participate in the National School Lunch Program, providing a broad market for Borealis Foods’ offerings. The company’s participation in the School Nutrition Association’s 2026 Annual National Conference underscores its engagement with industry stakeholders.
