Block Inc. Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer Amrita Ahuja sold $1.03 million in Class A common stock in late August, according to regulatory filings.
The sales, totaling 12,612 shares, were executed under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on March 2, 2026. The transactions occurred on August 21 and August 24, with prices ranging from $80.04 to $82.92 per share. Following the disposals, Ahuja retains 423,262 shares of Block stock.
Separately, Block withheld 18,401 shares on August 20 to cover tax obligations tied to restricted stock unit settlements, valued at $1.47 million at $80.08 per share. Neither transaction represents a change in Ahuja’s long-term holdings strategy, as both were conducted under established corporate and regulatory frameworks.
Block’s Class A shares were trading at $81.38 on Friday, near their 52-week high of $86.75. The stock has gained 57% over the past six months, supported by strong financial performance.
Block reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.02 in the second quarter of 2026, up from $0.62 a year earlier and above the $0.87 consensus estimate. The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting gross profit, adjusted operating income and EPS to meet or exceed market expectations. Analysts have since adjusted price targets upward, with Argus raising its target to $103, UBS to $98, Needham to $100 and BMO Capital to $85.
