Femasys Inc. (NASDAQ: FEMY) has entered a partnership with UNC Health to deploy its fertility diagnostic and treatment products across UNC Health’s OB/GYN locations. The collaboration will introduce FemVue, SpermVue, and FemaSeed Complete into clinical practice, targeting earlier fertility evaluation and intervention within primary care settings.
FemVue utilizes ultrasound to assess fallopian tube patency, while SpermVue offers at-home male fertility screening. FemaSeed Complete combines FemaSeed with FemSperm for in-office intratubal insemination, positioning it as a first-line fertility treatment option. The initiative aligns with Femasys’ broader OB/GYN commercial push, launched at the ACOG Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting on May 1.
UNC Health, North Carolina’s largest academic health system, will integrate these technologies into its OB/GYN network, which spans hospitals, clinics, and physician practices statewide. Dr. John Jack Coiner II, a physician within UNC Health, highlighted the need for improved access, noting that patients in North Carolina’s High Country region often travel hours to see a fertility specialist.
The partnership also comes as Femasys advances its non-surgical permanent birth control solution, FemBloc, which is currently in a pivotal trial. FemBloc received regulatory approvals in Europe, the UK, and New Zealand in 2025, positioning it for potential future integration into UNC Health’s offerings pending U.S. clearance.
