Bill.com Holdings Inc (BILL) surged 4.8% in pre-market trading on Thursday after the fintech company reported fiscal fourth-quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations.
The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.84, topping the consensus estimate of $0.70 by 20%. Total revenue reached $436.2 million, up 14% from the prior year and surpassing the Street’s forecast of approximately $430.4 million. Non-GAAP operating income rose 80% year-over-year to $101.6 million, while the non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 23% from 14% a year earlier, reflecting cost discipline following a workforce reduction program.
Bill.com also announced a $300 million share repurchase program, signaling confidence in its financial position. The stock had already gained roughly 3.1% in after-hours trading following the earnings release, extending its upward momentum into the pre-market session.
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, management provided non-GAAP EPS guidance in the range of $3.56 to $3.79, above the analyst consensus of approximately $3.38. Near-term revenue guidance for the upcoming quarter fell slightly below Street expectations.
The broader market showed little movement, with the S&P 500 essentially flat, the Dow Jones Industrial Average edging marginally lower, and the Nasdaq holding near unchanged.
