Banco Santander said on Monday it had admitted 329,846,438 ordinary shares to trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market, expanding its issued share capital to 15,019,165,940 shares. Each share carries a nominal value of EUR 0.50 and remains fully fungible with existing ordinary shares.
The newly admitted shares were admitted to trading on August 26, 2024, following an application announced on August 21, 2024 under the Public Offers and Admissions to Trading Regulations 2024 and PRM 1.6.4R. The disclosure complies with U.K. regulatory requirements and provides a reference point for shareholders assessing disclosure obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority’s Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
Banco Santander’s total voting rights now stand at 14,482,913,466, as the bank holds 536,252,474 ordinary shares in treasury, which carry no voting rights. Each ordinary share continues to carry one vote, maintaining the existing voting structure.
