BAE Systems has appointed Michael Loeffler as vice president of supply chain, a newly created role within the company’s senior leadership team. The appointment, effective August 24, 2026, will see Loeffler report directly to BAE Systems, Inc. President and CEO Tom Arseneault.
Loeffler will oversee the company’s supply chain strategy, execution, and program delivery across its businesses. His responsibilities include aligning global supply chain operations with BAE Systems’ broader operational and strategic objectives.
The move follows Brad Pelachyk’s transition to senior vice president and chief global supply chain officer for BAE Systems plc, the company’s UK-based parent entity. Loeffler joins from Bell, where he served as vice president of global supply chain and logistics.
With over two decades of experience in aerospace and defense, Loeffler brings extensive supply chain expertise to the role. His prior positions include leadership roles in supply chain and logistics at L3Harris, GE Aviation, and Boeing. His background also includes military service as a submariner aboard the USS Kentucky and as a staff instructor at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command.
Loeffler holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel, and a Master of Engineering in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
