Aramark has secured several new contracts to provide school nutrition services across multiple U.S. K-12 districts, the company announced on Monday.
The contracts, spanning multiple states, expand Aramark’s existing portfolio of school meal programs. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The company did not specify the number of districts or students affected by the new contracts.
Aramark, a global leader in food services, has been steadily increasing its presence in the K-12 education sector. The company currently operates school nutrition programs in hundreds of districts nationwide, serving millions of meals annually. Its services include meal planning, cafeteria management, and compliance with federal nutrition standards.
The expansion aligns with growing demand for outsourced school nutrition services amid budget constraints and operational challenges faced by school districts. Aramark competes with other major food service providers such as Sodexo and Compass Group in this segment.
A spokesperson for Aramark declined to comment on the financial impact of the new contracts.
