The issue, described as an isolated production defect, was identified on the horizontal tail plane of a single A330 prior to delivery. Airbus confirmed the problem was confined to one unit and did not affect other aircraft in its fleet. The manufacturer slowed deliveries during the investigation but has since cleared the aircraft for service and resumed normal operations.
