abrdn European Logistics Income plc (ASLI) has approved a capital return of approximately €31.7 million (£27.2 million) for shareholders, structured as a B Share scheme with a redemption value of 6.6p per ordinary share.
Under the plan, investors will receive 6.6 B Shares for every 1 ordinary share held, each redeemable for £0.01 immediately after issuance. The redemption proceeds equate to 6.6 pence per ordinary share, with distributions scheduled to begin by September 17, 2026. The timeline includes an ex-date of September 3, 2026, a record date of September 4 at 6:00 p.m., and a B Share issue date of September 7.
The announcement follows the High Court of Justice in England and Wales confirming the cancellation of the company’s Capital Redemption Reserve, which has been transferred to a special reserve and designated as distributable profits. No share certificates will be issued for the B Shares, and they will not be listed or traded on any exchange.
Following the distribution, the special distributable reserve established for the B Share scheme will be substantially depleted, according to the board, which does not currently anticipate further B Share issues prior to the company’s liquidation.
