Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche announced on Wednesday that it plans to propose Christophe Weber for election to its board of directors at the general meeting next spring.
Weber, who previously served as chief executive of Japanese drugmaker Takeda Pharmaceuticals, would bring additional industry and leadership experience to the board, Roche said in a statement.
The proposed appointment is set to be decided at Roche’s annual general assembly scheduled for next spring, when shareholders will vote on whether to seat Weber on the Verwaltungsrat, or supervisory board, of the Basel-headquartered company.
