H2O America Approves Texas Wastewater Acquisition to Expand Service

H2O America’s Texas subsidiary, The Texas Water Company (TWC), has received regulatory approval to acquire the Cibolo Valley wastewater treatment plant and associated collection systems from South Central Water Company. The deal is expected to close on November 1, 2026, marking a strategic expansion for TWC, which operates in seven counties serving nearly 90,000 residents in Texas. The acquisition will more than double TWC’s wastewater connections in the Hill Country service area, adding to its existing infrastructure footprint, which currently serves over 1.6 million customers across California, Connecticut, Maine, and Texas. South Central Water Company, a family-owned entity with 50 years of experience, has built over 800 wastewater treatment plants in Texas, lending credibility to the seller’s track record in critical infrastructure development. The transaction aligns with broader growth plans under Aundrea Williams, president of TWC, who emphasized continued investment in expanding and upgrading the company’s service footprint in Texas.
