B&M European Value Retail plc said it has appointed Mike Iddon as an independent non-executive director, effective Jan. 4, 2027, the company announced Wednesday.
Iddon will join B&M’s audit and risk committee and nomination committee. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Wickes Group plc, where he has sat on the board since 2021 and chairs the audit and risk committee.
A chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Iddon trained with Arthur Andersen before moving into retail finance. He held the chief financial officer role at Pets at Home Group plc and previously served as CFO at New Look. His tenure at Tesco plc spanned 13 years, during which he acted as CFO of Tesco UK and CFO of Tesco South Korea. He also held finance positions at Kingfisher and Whitbread.

B&M European Value Retail operates as a variety goods value retailer, with the group serving customers across the UK and France. The appointment was disclosed pursuant to UK Listing Rule 6.4.6R. The company confirmed there is no additional information to be disclosed under UK Listing Rule 6.4.8R.
