Arm Holdings Surges 17% on 'Off-the-Charts' AI Chip Demand

Arm Holdings shares jumped 17.16% in Monday trading, extending a September rally that has pushed the semiconductor company's stock up roughly 38% month to date and more than 200% year to date.

The latest gain came as Arm's chief executive, Rene Haas, described demand across data centers, automotive robotics and edge computing as "off the charts," and signaled confidence the company will surpass its $2 billion revenue target for its AGI CPU business over the next two fiscal years.

Arm reported full-year revenue of $4.92 billion, up 22.8% from a year earlier, with profit rising 27%. Revenue is growing at an annualized rate of approximately 23%.

The catalyst for Monday's rally was fresh Wall Street attention on Meta Platforms' autonomous AI agent, Muse, which has intensified expectations of a broad-based upgrade cycle for CPU infrastructure. Investors rotated into semiconductor names, with other chip stocks also climbing sharply: Qualcomm rose 9.29%, AMD climbed 9.95% into the trillion-dollar market-cap club, and Intel advanced 12.14%.

Mizuho and Wells Fargo maintain price targets of $425 and $410, respectively, on Arm stock. Analysts see the company on a trajectory toward $25 billion in revenue and earnings per share above $9 by 2031.

Several other AI-focused picks also posted notable September gains, including Intel up 36.88% month to date, AMD up 33.92%, CVR Energy up 23.98%, Inspire Medical Systems up 23.08%, and Marvell Technology up 22.33%.
