ARK sells 10X Genomics, buys Perceptive Capital in latest trades
Cathie Wood's ARK Investment Management trimmed exposure to 10X Genomics while initiating a stake in Perceptive Capital, reflecting a shift in its portfolio strategy.

ARK Investment Management, led by Cathie Wood, executed a pair of trades on Friday, reducing its holdings in 10X Genomics and establishing a new position in Perceptive Capital.
The firm sold 30,000 shares of 10X Genomics, a life sciences company focused on spatial and single-cell analysis, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The stake in 10X Genomics was trimmed to 1.15 million shares, down from 1.18 million in the prior period.
ARK simultaneously initiated a position in Perceptive Capital, a privately held firm specializing in healthcare investments, purchasing 1.2 million shares. The move underscores ARK’s continued emphasis on disruptive innovation within the healthcare sector, though the size of the allocation relative to its broader portfolio remains modest.
The trades follow ARK’s recent adjustments across its flagship ETFs, including the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), which has faced persistent outflows amid a challenging environment for growth-oriented equities. Wood’s strategy has increasingly focused on smaller-cap and private-market opportunities, often targeting companies at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
ARK did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
