Stabilis Solutions posts earnings miss, revenue below forecasts
Specialty gas supplier's adjusted EPS fell $0.21 short of expectations, while revenue missed analyst projections by a narrow margin.

Stabilis Solutions reported adjusted earnings per share that missed market estimates by $0.21, while revenue fell short of forecasts in its latest quarterly results.
The specialty gas supplier, which serves industrial and healthcare sectors, disclosed adjusted EPS of $0.34, compared with analysts' average estimate of $0.55, according to Refinitiv data. Revenue totaled $182.5 million, below the $187.3 million consensus forecast.
The company attributed the underperformance to softer demand in key end-markets and supply chain inefficiencies, which weighed on margins. Stabilis Solutions also noted higher operational costs as a contributing factor to the revenue shortfall.
Chief Executive Officer Barry Golsen acknowledged challenges in the quarter but highlighted ongoing efforts to streamline operations and reduce costs. "While we faced headwinds in demand and supply chain dynamics, we remain focused on executing our strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and drive long-term value," Golsen stated.
The earnings miss follows a period of volatility in industrial gas markets, where pricing pressures and fluctuating demand have impacted industry participants. Stabilis Solutions, which operates in a niche segment of the broader chemicals sector, has faced similar pressures in recent quarters.
Shares of Stabilis Solutions were down 3.2% in pre-market trading following the release, extending losses from the prior session. The stock has declined approximately 12% over the past month amid broader sector headwinds and macroeconomic uncertainty.
Analysts at B. Riley Securities reiterated their neutral rating on the stock but reduced the price target to $18 from $20, citing near-term challenges in the industrial gas market. The firm maintained that Stabilis Solutions' long-term fundamentals remain intact despite the quarterly shortfall.
