Polish WIG30 Index Rises 0.24% on Wednesday

The Polish WIG30 index advanced 0.24% on Wednesday, with energy, chemicals, and oil & gas sectors driving the gains. On the Warsaw Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered gaining stocks by 282 to 254, while 121 stocks finished without changes.

Top performers in the WIG30 index included PGE Polska, which gained 7.78% and reached its 52-week high at 11.85. mBank saw a gain of 4.38%, closing at 1,404.50, and Enea SA advanced 2.64%, closing at 19.82.

Among the worst performers were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA, which dropped 4.63%, closing at 174.30. Asseco Poland declined 3.06%, closing at 231.10, and Pepco Group Nv saw a drop of 2.29%, closing at 43.05.

The EUR/PLN exchange rate decreased 0.13% to 4.33, while the USD/PLN rate fell 0.14% to 3.73. US Dollar Index Futures increased 0.15% to 99.48.

Commodities also saw gains, with crude oil futures rising 0.68% to $90.83 per barrel, Brent crude oil advancing 0.92% to $95.52 per barrel, and gold futures increasing 0.52% to $4,419.19 per troy ounce.
