Palladyne AI posts Q2 2026 revenue of $5.8m, guides $24‑27m full-year

Palladyne AI (PDYN) disclosed second‑quarter 2026 revenue of $5.8 million, a 63% increase over the prior quarter. The company added $13 million of new contracts during the period, bringing its total backlog to roughly $25 million in binding commitments.

Management reaffirmed full‑year 2026 revenue guidance of $24 million to $27 million. Over the trailing twelve months, Palladyne AI’s revenue expanded 172%, reflecting rapid adoption of its embodied artificial‑intelligence solutions across defense and industrial markets.

Chief Executive Officer Ben Wolff, who returned to the firm in February 2024, highlighted the company’s shift to “embodied AI” – software that runs directly on machines rather than in the cloud – as a core differentiator. Wolff noted that the firm’s manufacturing capacity is currently operating at about 30% of total capability, with the ability to triple output without additional capital spending.

The company cited recent partnerships that underpin its growth trajectory. In early June, Palladyne AI announced a collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to “Americanize” three loitering‑munition platforms – the Harpy, Mini Harpy and Harop – for the U.S. Department of Defense. The platforms feature a 10‑foot wingspan, a 1,000‑kilometre range and up to nine hours of loiter time, designed to detect and neutralize intermittent radar threats.

A separate partnership with Fanuc, disclosed a day before the conference, showcases Palladyne AI’s low‑code/no‑code Palladyne IQ suite, which can program a Fanuc robot to paint complex bicycle frames in minutes rather than months. The firm also referenced successful drone‑swarm demonstrations with the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, noting that an inexperienced 18‑year‑old soldier can command a heterogeneous swarm after roughly 30 minutes of training.

Financial metrics showed a market capitalization of $285 million and a year‑to‑date share price increase of 36% after a six‑month decline of 26%. The stock carries a beta of 3.66 and a current ratio of 6.3, indicating strong liquidity.

Wolff warned that supply‑chain constraints, particularly chip shortages and limited compute hardware, remain the primary bottlenecks for scaling production. He concluded with a long‑term outlook, stating that if Palladyne AI is not a multi‑billion‑dollar company with top‑tier margins in five years, he would consider it a disappointment.
