NuRAN Wireless Tests Maritime Fleet Connectivity Pilot

NuRAN Wireless Inc., a NASDAQ-listed provider of rural telecommunications infrastructure in Africa, has launched a pilot program to evaluate its connectivity solutions for maritime fleet operations. The initiative marks the company’s first foray into the maritime private network sector, aiming to assess whether its Network-as-a-Service model—financing, building, owning, operating, and maintaining 2G, 3G, and 4G infrastructure—can support vessel-to-vessel and onboard asset connectivity in remote maritime environments. If successful, the pilot could pave the way for deployment on up to 1,000 ships over time, expanding beyond its current focus on African rural markets where infrastructure gaps and harsh operational conditions persist.
