Lion Group Holding Ltd. (NASDAQ: LGHL) said it continues to hold approximately 195,000 Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens, valued at roughly $18.2 million based on prevailing market prices as of Sept. 21, according to a press release issued from Singapore.
The company stated it has not sold any HYPE tokens since establishing its position, describing the holdings as part of its treasury management strategy.
Hyperliquid recently introduced a manual borrowing feature allowing users to supply HYPE or Bitcoin as collateral to borrow stablecoins.
Lion Group operates a trading platform offering total return swap trading, contract-for-difference (CFD) trading, and over-the-counter stock options trading.
The company also referenced recent U.S. regulatory developments, including the Senate's consideration of market structure legislation and subsequent actions by the SEC, which have drawn broader market attention to decentralized and tokenized asset markets.
Lion Group explicitly stated it does not express any view on the applicability or impact of these regulatory developments on Hyperliquid or the HYPE token.
