Hydro One sets quarterly dividend at C$0.3531 per share
Utility operator declares dividend for Q3, maintaining its payout trajectory amid stable cash flows.

Hydro One Ltd. announced a quarterly dividend of C$0.3531 per common share, payable on Oct. 15 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 30.
The dividend, unchanged from the prior quarter, reflects the company’s consistent cash generation and capital allocation strategy. Hydro One, which operates Ontario’s electricity transmission and distribution network, has maintained its dividend since initiating payouts in 2017.
The utility’s latest payout aligns with its long-term financial framework, targeting a payout ratio of 65% to 75% of adjusted earnings. The company reported adjusted earnings of C$1.1 billion in the first half of 2024, up 5.2% year-over-year, supported by rate base growth and operational efficiency gains.
Hydro One’s dividend yield stands at approximately 3.8% based on Friday’s closing price of C$46.30. The company has raised its dividend annually since 2019, underscoring its commitment to shareholder returns amid regulated utility growth.
