Hormel Foods Corp. (NYSE: HRL) announced the appointment of Paul Kuehneman as chief accounting officer on Sept. 10.
Kuehneman will lead the company's accounting organization and oversee its tax function, working alongside executive vice president and chief financial officer Ash Bhumbla to support finance strategy and operations.
He brings more than 30 years of experience at Hormel, having joined the Austin, Minnesota-based company in 1993. Most recently serving as interim chief financial officer and controller, he has held a series of roles across the organization, including positions at manufacturing facilities in Austin and Rochelle, Illinois, as well as corporate headquarters in Austin.
His career progression includes being named director of internal audit in 2009, vice president and CFO for Jennie-O Turkey Store in 2016, assistant controller in November 2020, and controller in January 2022.
Kuehneman holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Northwest Missouri State University and is a certified public accountant.
Hormel Foods, which reports annual revenue exceeding $12 billion, is best known for brands including Spam, Planters, Skippy, Hormel Natural Choice, Applegate, and Jennie-O.
