Enviri shares slip after Q2 loss, beat EBITDA target

Enviri Corp. shares edged lower on Tuesday after the company reported a second-quarter loss despite beating its adjusted EBITDA target and narrowing its net loss compared to the prior year.

The environmental solutions provider posted a net loss of $1.2 million, or 3 cents per share, for the three months ended June 30, compared with a loss of $4.8 million, or 12 cents per share, in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA rose 12% year-over-year to $45.6 million, exceeding the company’s guidance range of $40 million to $44 million.

Revenue for the quarter declined 5% to $287.3 million, falling short of analyst estimates of $295 million. Management attributed the revenue decline to softer demand in certain industrial end-markets and supply chain disruptions.

Enviri maintained its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance of $180 million to $190 million, reaffirming confidence in its operational performance despite macroeconomic headwinds. The company’s shares were down 1.3% at $14.25 in midday trading, lagging the S&P 500’s 0.4% gain.

Analysts at Stifel reiterated a hold rating on the stock, citing valuation concerns, while raising the price target to $16 from $15. The broader industrial sector has faced pressure this year from slowing global growth and elevated input costs.

Enviri’s performance reflects mixed signals in the environmental services space, where companies balance cost management with growth investments amid fluctuating demand.
