Corteva and Globachem Form Crop Protection Joint Venture

Corteva, a global agriculture company headquartered in Indianapolis, and Globachem N.V., a Belgium-based family-owned crop protection company operating in over 60 countries, have entered into a definitive agreement to form a 50/50 joint venture. The venture will focus on developing crop protection solutions for Europe and the Americas, leveraging late-pipeline to commercial-stage technology from both parent companies. The resulting products may be commercialized independently by one or both companies.

The joint venture builds upon an existing multi-year partnership between Corteva and Globachem. Brook Cunningham, Corteva's Senior Vice President, stated that this collaboration strengthens and broadens their portfolio as they prepare to launch as a standalone crop protection company following their planned separation. Koen Quaghebeur, Chief Visionary Officer and Co-founder of Globachem, described the agreement as an important milestone in their long-standing relationship, emphasizing the value of collaboration in bringing meaningful innovation to farmers.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory clearances and approvals. New solutions developed through the venture are expected to launch in the early 2030s and will be sold through established commercial channels.
