CNSide Diagnostics, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Cerenome Inc., signed an in‑network provider agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, effective September 1. The contract adds the CNSide Cerebrospinal Fluid Tumor Cell Enumeration assay to the insurer’s covered services.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, operating through the Blue Care Network, serves roughly 5 million commercial and Medicare Advantage members and more than 4.7 million Michigan residents. The new agreement raises CNSide’s total contracted reimbursement coverage to approximately 158 million covered lives.
Since 2020, the CNSide CSF assay platform—used for diagnosing, monitoring and guiding treatment of leptomeningeal metastases—has been performed in excess of 11,000 tests at over 120 U.S. cancer institutions.
Cerenome’s lead therapeutic platform, REYOBIQ, is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for leptomeningeal metastases, recurrent glioblastoma and pediatric brain cancers.
Cerenome’s shares (NASDAQ:CNSY) closed at $1.90, down 6.4%, while pre‑market trading showed a rise to $1.96, up 3.2%.
