In a statement dated 08:00 on 15 September 2026, BX Digital said it would trade under the name SeturionX, while BX Digital AG would be renamed Seturion AG. The company will continue operating its Swiss trading system for tokenized assets under the SeturionX brand.
SeturionX remains a Finma-licensed DLT trading system for tokenized assets. The change is intended to highlight its connection to Seturion, a pan-European settlement platform being built for tokenized assets, to which multiple trading venues can connect. Switzerland is part of that infrastructure from the start through SeturionX.
The Swiss system is expected to use the technical standard of the European Seturion platform for settlement, but the actual settlement processes will remain in Switzerland. Lidia Kurt, CEO of Seturion, said the company's mission as a regulated trading system for tokenized assets in Switzerland remains unchanged, while the framework becomes larger.
Swiss market participants are expected to benefit from a Europe-wide settlement standard and greater interoperability. In return, the company said regulatory, technological and operational experience from Switzerland should feed into the development of the pan-European infrastructure. Lucas Bruggeman, board president of Seturion AG, said the name SeturionX makes visible that the Swiss DLT trading system is part of the group's pan-European infrastructure approach and can grow with its development.
SeturionX is said to allow trading participants direct control over tokenized assets and settlement in Swiss francs, with a connection to the Swiss National Bank's payment system. Behind Seturion is the Boerse Stuttgart Group, which operates exchanges in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland and has positioned itself in digital and crypto business. The group is building a platform for the issuance and settlement of tokenized assets using public and private blockchains, and says SeturionX is the first Finma-licensed DLT trading system for tokenized assets in Switzerland.
