Switzerland Updates Sanctions List Regarding ISIL and Al-Qaeda
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs has published amendments to the sanctions list targeting individuals and entities linked to ISIL and Al-Qaeda.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has published an update to the sanctions list concerning natural persons, companies, and organizations linked to ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaeda.
The revision is implemented under the Ordinance on Measures against Persons and Organizations Associated with ISIL and Al-Qaeda, which was enacted on March 21, 2025 (SR 946.231.08). The updated registry details newly affected parties and removes entities no longer subject to the restrictive measures.
Financial institutions and intermediaries operating in Switzerland are required to screen their client bases and transactions against the revised SECO sanctions list to ensure compliance with asset freeze and prohibition regulations.
