Opera Limited reported second-quarter 2026 revenues of $178.1 million, a 25% increase from the prior year and above Wall Street’s $177.25 million estimate. Adjusted diluted earnings per share came in at $0.26, missing the consensus forecast of $0.27 by 3.7%. The company also posted adjusted EBITDA of $42.4 million, a 42% year-over-year rise, and adjusted net income of $30 million, up 27%.
Advertising revenue increased 27% to $115 million, while carrier revenue rose 21% to $62 million. Operating cash flow totaled $22 million, with free cash flow from operations at $17 million. Marketing spend declined 6% sequentially to $36.2 million, and cash-based compensation reached $23.1 million. The company's InvestingPro financial health score was rated "GREAT" at 3.47 out of 5.
User metrics continued to grow. Total addressable audience exceeded 700 million, up from 500 million six months prior. Monthly active users reached 188 million, with Western markets accounting for 61 million. Mobile usage in Western markets increased by 8%, and Opera GX, the gaming-focused browser, grew to 7.7 million monthly active users after adding nearly 2 million in the quarter. Geographical growth was strongest in the U.K. and U.S., where Android and iOS MAUs rose by 66% and 40%, respectively. Average revenue per user climbed by 25% to $2.46.
MiniPay, Opera’s stablecoin wallet, opeel 18 million wallets and processed 518 million transactions, including 88 million new activations in the quarter. The service operates in 66 countries and supports over 57 live mini apps.
